Cookie Policy

1. What Cookies Are
Cookies are small files a website stores on your device. Similar technologies, such as local storage and tracking pixels, do comparable jobs. They are used to make sites work, remember preferences, measure usage and show advertising.
2. What We Use
- •Essential. The Site does not need cookies to function and does not set login or session cookies for visitors.
- •Preferences (local storage, not cookies). `vp_lang` remembers the language you picked and `vp_lang_dismiss` remembers that you closed the language suggestion. They stay on your device and are never sent to us.
- •Analytics. We use Umami, a self-hosted, privacy-focused tool. It records anonymous page views and does not use cookies to follow you between sites.
- •Advertising (Google AdSense). When ads are shown, Google and its partners may set or read cookies and similar identifiers (for example to limit how often you see an ad, measure performance and, where you consent, personalise ads). These are third-party cookies controlled by Google, not by us.
3. Your Choices
- •Consent message. In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, a consent message lets you accept, refuse or manage advertising cookies. You can reopen it from the privacy settings link or message on the Site.
- •Browser settings. You can block or delete cookies in your browser. The Site still works; you may see less relevant ads.
- •Google ad settings. Manage or turn off personalised ads at adssettings.google.com.
- •Industry opt-outs. aboutads.info/choices (US) and youronlinechoices.eu (EU).
