LinkedIn Post Text Formatter
Style your LinkedIn post with bold, italic and lists, preview how it looks on desktop and mobile, then copy it.
Free · No sign-up · Runs in your browserAbout this tool
LinkedIn has no built-in bold or italic button for posts. This tool swaps normal letters for look-alike Unicode characters, which LinkedIn accepts anywhere you can type text: posts, comments, your headline and messages.
The preview shows the point where LinkedIn cuts your post and adds "see more", so you can make sure your first lines earn the click. Use styling sparingly: a bold hook and a short list work better than a fully styled post.
Good to know: styled text is not read well by screen readers and does not show up in search, so keep key words and names in plain text.
Questions
Does the formatting work on LinkedIn?
Yes. The styles are special characters, not formatting codes, so they survive copy and paste into LinkedIn.
Is there a limit on the number of characters?
LinkedIn posts allow up to 3,000 characters. The counter shows how many you have used. Styled characters count the same as normal ones.
Why do some styles not look right on every device?
Very old phones and some fonts may not draw every character. Bold and plain text are the safest choices.
Is my text stored?
No. Everything runs in your browser. A draft is kept in your own browser only so you do not lose it.
